Mr. Rani opens with young Raja recreating a popular scene from a blockbuster Kannada film, only to be beaten black and blue by his father, who appears dressed like a WWE fighter. Cut to years later—Raja is now an engineer, has secured a job at ‘Google,’ and is set to leave for America! However, he soon finds himself struggling to land a role in films and fulfill his dream of becoming an actor. By chance, he lands a role—but as a female character. He pulls it off so effortlessly that he gets a big break and quickly rises to become the number one heroine in the industry. What follows is absurd, senseless, yet undeniably entertaining.
